Start by building your tree:

Either remove the round base in the center of the platform and place it on a table, or lay the background down flat to give you better access to the base.

Place the bottom of the tree in one of the slots in the base. (Be sure to fir the tree straight across the diagonal slot so that it does not bend.)

Place the middle of the tree on top of the bottom piece, fitting it into one of the empty slots in the base.

Place the top of the tree over the other two pieces, fitting it into the last empty slot in the base. Return the tree base to the platform (if you removed it), and lift the background so it stands upright. Now, you’re ready to start your contdown!

To get to the ornaments, carefully remove one of the numbered doors every day. (You can lay the back-ground down to give you extra room when you do this). The door can be completely removed and glued to the opposite page for a special holiday message.
